PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS FOR MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING AND INDUCTION OF NEWLY QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS

Members are hereby informed that credential certificates and lapels will be issued out to all members in good standing. This exercise affects all registered members who are yet to receive their credential certificates as registered professionals. We are also happy to announce that newly qualified Dietitians and Nutritionists who have passed their licensure examination will be credentialed at a colourful ceremony at the up-coming Africa Nutrition Conference (ANC) being hosted by GAND at the University of Cape Coast. GAND Officially Inaugurates its Students’ Association across Campuses

The Governing Board of the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics officially inaugurates the student wing of the professional body across institutions in Ghana. This event was a key feature of the Annual General Meeting, which was organised on October 20, 2023 as part of the 2nd biennial congress of the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics held at the School of Business Conference Centre at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. The event, which was led by the student representative Mrs Portia Nkumsah-Riverson, saw the confirmation of name adopted for the student wing of the GAND: “Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Students Association (simply GANDSA)”. The institutions’ whose associations were out doored at this event were: University of Ghana (UG), University for Development Studies (UDS), University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), University of Cape Coast (UCC), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Nalerigu. The purpose of this inauguration was to empower nationwide organization of the student front (the future of GAND) as well as to ensure that the welfare and interests of student members of the Academy are well channelled and represented to the Governing Board through the Students’ representative At the time of inauguration, a total of 30 student members are registered members of the Academy, GAND
