Our Alliances
Working in non-commercial alliances or partnerships with other professional organizations, consumer groups, health charities, or food interest groups is crucial to the GAND, and we appreciate this work and collaborative approach. Working with others benefits the Academy as it positions us as an organization eager to lobby and share our members’ experience in order to influence the food and nutrition agenda, and also promotes us as a trustworthy voice in the field.
GAND frequently collaborates with other organizations to create innovative scientific approaches, to question elements of government or food sector behaviour, to detect the danger of resource withdrawal, and to raise awareness of new potential for promoting nutrition and health. These partnerships must be in line with the GAND’s goals and strategic plan, as well as promote the profession of nutrition and dietetics, and the Academy.
